Canadian actress Neve Campbell’s refusal to reprise her role in the fourth sequel of movie ‘Scream’ has forced its creator Kevin Williamson to re-write the screenplay.

Williamson, 44, and filmmakers were hoping that Campbell, 35, would reprise her role as Sidney Prescott for a fourth time, but after her refusal they have had to redo the whole scenario.

“I’ve had numerous conversations with Neve. She’s a friend. Nicest girl on the planet. It just ain’t workin’ out and it sucks for me,” Contactmusic quoted him as telling the New York Post.com’s PopWrap blog.

“It was no cameo. I’d never play Sid out that way. And I ain’t got no Sid-less scenario. So, I don’t know yet what to do,” he added.

Director Wes Craven recently revealed Courteney Cox and her husband David Arquette were returning for a fourth instalment of the movie series, to shoot a screenplay written by Williamson.

Courteney Cox and husband David Arquette are reportedly planning to adopt after having no success with IVF for a second child. The couple conceived their daughter Coco, now five, through IVF and it is claimed they tried again this year but with no success.

A source said: “It’s been a tough ride already. They’ve said they’ll do ‘whatever it takes’ to have another child and have started looking seriously at adoption. “Courteney always wanted loads of children, but after fighting so hard to have Coco, she and David had to face facts.” Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick recently became parents again after a surrogate gave birth to twin girls and the source claims this is something Courteney and David have considered. The source added: “They still really want another child. They’ve debated every option under the sun. “They even discussed finding a surrogate mother – like Sarah Jessica Parker did to help her have her new twins Marion and Tabitha – but decided it wasn’t something they could deal with.”

Actresses Courteney Cox and Jennifer Aniston and singer Sheryl Crow co-hosted a dinner to help raise awareness for the campaign as well as to raise money. All three spoke to Access Hollywood:

“[OmniPeace is] building this place called the City of Joy,” said Cox, an ambassador for the organization. “It’s a healing center for women and children who have been violated.”

OmniPeace is selling specially designed t-shirts in order to help fund the City of Joy, and many celebrities find donating profits that have been generated through consumerism to be a good idea.

“There are so many looming causes that need everyone to be involved in and everyone to be conscious of,” said Crow. “This is one that I really think does escape people because it’s not happening in our own country and it’s so foreign – the idea of using rape as warfare – that a lot of people close their eyes to it. In our own way of consumer-ship, we can have a voice in what happens over there.”

The t-shirts feature drawings by the child victims at the center’s art therapy program.

“[The t-shirt logo] are images that have been made into a collage from these children,” explains Aniston. “You can see all of these drawings. It’s quite disturbing to know that this is what is in front of them… It’s excruciating. [This] is what they see in front of their eyes.”
