Courteney Cox and her not-so-humble Malibu abode were recently featured on Elle Decor.

The Friends and Cougar Town star, who wanted to be an architect before she got into acting, has a passion for design and decorating that is evident by the photos of her new Malibu, California home.

Although Elle Decor reports that Cox’s previous Lautner-designed home was “the most amazing place [she] ever lived in,” Cox said that architect Michael Kovac and interior designer Trip Haenisch “gave me everything I wanted” in a new home and that it is “exactly how I want to live.”

But the work that went into Cox’s perfect place wasn’t easy. According to the Elle Decor, Cox focused on every minute detail, from the color of the tennis courts to the way “guests interacted and moved through the space” and held “‘intense’ once-a-week planning meetings that lasted three hours.”

The result, of course, was well worth it. From its decadent, open design with wonderful view of the Pacific Ocean to its “guest cottages… screening room, and saltwater swimming pool,” Cox planned a house that looks absolutely amazing.

Courteney Cox was under a lot of scrutiny at the premiere of Scream 4 since it’s one of the first times that she’s been seen in public with her estranged husband David Arquette.

If it bothered her, she didn’t show it though – the Friends actress looked calm and happy on the red carpet in black, which seemed to be the colour of the night for the stars of the film, wearing a halterneck dress with peep toe heels.

“I have issues with getting older” Courteney Cox said in a 2006 Marie Claire cover story. “It’s hard not being the young one anymore.”

And, the ex-Friend-cum-Cougar hasn’t changed her tune in the four years that have lapsed. Gracing the August cover of InStyle magazine, the 46 year-old actress says that these days, skin care is of paramount importance.

“Aging gracefully is one thing, but trying to slow it down is another. Sometimes I use Botox,” David Arquette’s wife of 11 years says in the cover story. “I don’t have a problem with any of that stuff; if it makes you feel better about yourself and it’s done properly, then fine.”

Sounds like she has definite opinions on the topic as she told Harper’s Bazaar magazine way back in 2004 that “A lot of people are overdoing Botox, but I think everything in moderation is fine. If it looks natural and it makes you feel better, do it.” And, she echoed the sentiment in the current story, saying that she “believes in the judicious use of plastic surgery.”

Of course, the actress, has long been a proponent of Kinerase skin products – a line for which she became the official spokesperson in 2005.

According to People Magazine,Courteney was spotted relaxing at a pool in Beverly Hills. Birthday treat from David perhaps?

Courteney Cox, enjoying a little R&R – and L.A. sunshine – in her poolside cabana at the Avalon Hotel in Beverly Hills. The Cougar Town star spent time with some girlfriends, enjoying salad and other light fare from the hotel’s Oliverio Restaurant. The actress looked “very happy and relaxed,” a source says.
