Courteney Cox and David Arquette may have a rocky relationship, but they’re ready to work together again in the name of quality TV.

The pair are developing a comedy tentatively titled “10 Years,” which would follow a group of friends and their relationships over the course of a decade. Wait, didn’t “Friends” last a decade?

The show is being produced through their Coquette Productions based at ABC Studios. Cox and Arquette are shopping the idea around, but ABC would be a potential home for it, according to TV Line.

Cox, busy with “Cougar Town,” would likely only serve as a producer, while it’s possible that Arquette appear on the show.

The two are married, but have been having high-profile marriage problems of late. They co-starred in the “Scream” film series together, including this year’s “Scream 4.”

Courteney Cox plays a woman in her forties who’s taking on new life challenges on ABC’s Cougar Town and now the actress is taking a page out of her character’s book.

An ABC spokesperson confirms to The Hollywood Reporter that the actress “is currently scheduled to direct an upcoming episode” of the sitcom during Season 3, as first reported by TVGuide.com.

This would be the 47 year old’s first time directing for television. Previously, Cox directed a short film called The Monday Before Thanksgiving in 2008, which she also appeared in, starring Laura Dern.

Cox plays Jules on the ABC sitcom and she serves as an executive producer. The series is set to return in the midseason. In the meantime, she’ll be guest starring on former Friends cast mate Lisa Kudrow’s Showtime series, Web Therapy, next month.

David Arquette’s & Courteney Cox’s seven-year-old daughter has been bullied.

The 39-year-old actor says he and estranged wife Courteney Cox have tried to tell Coco that she is “special” in order to combat the negativity she has received from some of her peers.

He said: “Well you know she has been bullied, people have hurt her feelings and you just have to tell her and tell these kids [who have been bullied] that they’re special, that they have a special gift that nobody else has, that they have a light inside of them that can be positive. You can choose to accept this negativity that’s coming your way or you can rise above it and be the best person you can be.”

David believes one of the key factors in solving problems of children being bullied is to make others aware of the situation and bringing it into the open.

He told America’s OK! magazine: “Part of bullying is people not standing up, not doing anything so its really about making the teacher aware about it, bringing it out into the open and you know, a lot of times this stuff lives in the dark.”

Though David and Courteney have been separated for 10 months, he insists he and Courteney get along better than ever.

He added: “We talk quite a bit and we’re really open and we’re really communicative. Coco is really open too and she asks us questions. We all communicate much better now than ever before.”

Courteney Cox is trying to convince Demi Moore to appear in TV show Cougar Town.

The actress, who stars in and produces the American comedy series, is convinced that getting the gorgeous Hollywood star on board will boost viewing figures for the third season.

Although 48-year-old Demi – who is married to Ashton Kutcher, 33 – has so far declined the offer, Courteney hasn’t given up hope yet.

“Demi’s turned her down so far, but Courteney’s not giving up. She knows Demi would boost ratings big time,” a source told The National Enquirer.

The former Friends star has also upped her exercise regime in a bid to look her very best for the new season.

Courteney will be required to shed her clothes in several scenes, so the 47-year-old star has been hitting the gym with gusto.

The brunette beauty also wants her younger co-star Busy Philipps looking good too

“Courteney wants better ratings and she knows sex sells. The upcoming episodes will be much steamier and show a lot more skin. She’s upping her time on the treadmill and trying to get in even better shape – and she’s encouraging Busy to do the same,” the source added.

Justin clashes with Jen’s best friend. Jennifer Aniston is loved-up with new man Justin Theroux.

Jen, 42, wasn’t keen on 39-year-old Justin’s beard but now he’s shaved off the short ‘n’ curlies and she happily posed with her polished new man at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in LA last week.

The bad news for Jen is that best pal Courteney Cox, 47, doesn’t  get along with the screenwriter and director.

‘Justin was upset when he had to spend time with Courteney at a party recently because he’s good mates with her ex David Arquette,’ says a source.

‘Justin’s trying to have a good time and got stuck making small talk with the woman who dumped his pal.’

Courteney Cox knows that the best hair dye can be picked up at a drugstore for $9 — but some products, like Edward Bess eye shadow, are worth the splurge. In the spirit of sharing her favorite tips and tricks, the actress is writing a new blog for xoJane.com, the latest creation of former Jane and Sassy founding editor Jane Pratt, where she’ll post at least twice a month, her rep confirms to PEOPLE. (Estranged husband David Arquette created a T-shirt for the site earlier this year.) As the designated home editor for the site, her column focuses on her lifestyle essentials, such as Clairol Natural Instincts Brass-Free For Brunette ($8.99), her favorite hair treatment for “dark-haired girls who don’t like red hues coming through.” She also revealed her Edward Bess products-of-choice, Ultra-Luminous Eye Shadow ($30) and Sheer Satin Cream Compact ($60), in her first post. But she’s not the first celeb style icon who’s taken her know-how to the blogosphere. Gwyneth Paltrow updates fans with lifestyle advice, workout plans and recipes on her online newsletter, GOOP.com, and former reality star Lauren Conrad launched thebeautydepartment.com in April, where she dishes out details on the latest in hair and makeup.

Yep The network has moved the show to a midseason run! So from what I understand we will be seeing the show later on in the year instead of at the fall. When Cougar Town will returns it will be airing on a new night too so Tuesday nights at 9:00PM.

Here’s what Bill Lawrence had to say about this.

If you’re a Cougar Town fan considering launching a Facebook campaign to protest ABC’s decision today to hold the show’s third season premiere until late November, you might want to hear what series co-creator Bill Lawrence has to say about the decision. In his first interview about the switch, Lawrence tells Vulture he’s actually pretty okay with it: “I’m not that bummed out,” he told us a few minutes ago, explaining that he’s actually been pushing ABC chief Paul Lee to give Cougar Town a shot at surviving on its own rather than remaining warmly nuzzled in the protective bosom that is the 9:30 p.m. time slot following Modern Family.

“I’ve been hounding Paul about letting Cougar Town lead off an hour [next] season,” Lawrence says. “This is going to be my last season [as co-showrunner] because I’m going to Warner Bros. TV. And our show has to lead off an hour to be worth anything [in syndication]. So I’ve been asking him to give me a shot while I’m still here.” Specifically, Lawrence had grown tired of those who’ve accused his show of being something short of a success because it loses at least 20 percent of its lead-in, the megahit Modern Family. “The Middle, which I very much like, does around a 1.9 [demo rating] and is deemed a hit, but we do a 2.4, 2.5, and because we’re after Modern Family, we’re deemed a failure,” he says. Lawrence believes he and co-creator Kevin Biegel have “established a core audience [for Cougar Town] that will follow us to Tuesdays.” All this said, Lawrence had been hoping for a slightly different scenario from ABC this morning.

“I would have liked to have stayed on after Modern Family until Dancing was done,” he says. That would’ve given Cougar an opportunity to build some fall momentum and then transition to Tuesdays after Thanksgiving. “But that would’ve been a lot to have asked,” Lawrence admits. “And I’m impressed with the decision to give Happy Endings a shot after Modern Family, since I really like that show and the team on it.” Lawrence is also glad Lee announced a time slot for the show now rather than offer a vague promise of a mid-season time slot; he’s also encouraged by the pairing with Apt. 23, which will follow CT. “[Lee] likes that show a lot, and the fact that we’re its lead-in is good,” he says.

April 23, 2011   •  Category: Articles, Cougar Town, News & Rumors and Projects0 Comments

The cast and creator of Cougar Town took the stage at the TV Academy in Los Angeles earlier tonight to talk about their now fan favorite comedy series. Admittedly, the show about a woman in her early forties with a teenage son starting over after a divorce began very much as a Courteney Cox-led ensemble vehicle, but as the episodes went on, it very much became a straight ensemble. Sure Cox is still front and center, most notably because everyone is always hanging out at her house, but it is the energy the cast has together that drives the show and causes such a raucous response.

And such a response was certainly in attendance last night! Fans lined up outside the theater to get autographs and photos with their favorite castmembers, often yelling “Penny Can!” at them as they were pulled away to take photos on the red carpet. Fans also expressed their deep feelings about the couples on the show, and showrunner Bill Lawrence even went so far as to use those in the audience as an impromptu focus group, asking if they thought it was “icky” if Laurie (Busy Philipps) and Travis (Dan Byrd) ended up dating next season. For the record, though the actors are pretty close in age, their characters are a decade apart. Still the overwhelming response was that it was fine, which was something series star Cox was thrilled to hear.

But before Lawrence can think too far ahead to season three, we must first get through the current (second season) on-air! The remaining episodes have all been shot already, with the season finale taking the characters to Hawaii, so what can we expect from our favorite wine-swilling cul-de-sac crew?

SPOILER ALERT!

Well, first and foremost the kids issue is going to come up for Grayson (Josh Hopkins) and Jules (Cox). Babysitting Stan did not satisfy his paternal cravings, even if it may have put a pin in the discussion for a little while. But Jules is so focused on her son, who is about to make a big decision of his own, that she may not have much energy to argue with Grayson about becoming a mother again right now. Travis is about to propose to his girlfriend, something his mother isn’t happy about but will end up coming around on in part. Unfortunately her unsure energy may bleed over into her son’s relationship because his question does not receive the answer one might hope.

As if that isn’t heartbreaking enough, the usually level-headed, “fifty year old in a nineteen year old’s body” (as Lawrence put it) snaps and begins to spiral, running away to Hawaii to work in a surf shop. In many ways, the kid who always emulated his mother’s strong work ethic begins to follow in his father’s shoes a little bit more, much to his dismay, because Bobby (Brian Van Holt) just wants his kid to finish school and succeed.

Hence the need for the rest of the gang to take a vacation. While there, of course some are more invested in getting Travis to come home, while others just want to drink and have a good time.

Also going down in Hawaii? Some bromance bonding for Andy (Ian Gomez), Sam Lloyd reprising his role as Ted Buckman, an original Grayson Ellis tune strummed on the ukulele, and a rival for Big Carl!

You can hear the cast tease more about Cougar Town’s final season two episodes in the video to the left!

But before we have the season finale, there will be quite a few adventures in between, including guest appearances by Nia Vardalos, Lou Diamond Phillips, and Barry Boswick, the latter of whom plays a new love interest for Barb (Carolyn Hennesy) who wants her to be more demure.

Cougar Town airs on ABC, Wednesday nights at 9:30pm.
