Question: I’m a big Cougar Town fan. I was wondering if the finale will end with a cliffhanger? —Heather
Ausiello: “The finale is not a cliffhanger, but it is momentous,” responds exec producer Bill Lawrence. “We did a lot of big stories — if you can think of what each character’s big story might be, we address it head on. There are stakes-y things for every character on the show besides Ellie and Andy, and that’s because they are somewhat of a constant. And we like them being a very successful married couple.” Speaking of enduring duos that make us cackle, if you’re not following Lawrence and his real-life wife Christa Miller (a.k.a. Ellie) on Twitter — at @VDOOZER and @ChristaBMiller respectively — you, my friend, are missing out. They’re Al and Peg Bundy only richer and more self-aware!

They may have been at work – but Courteney Cox and David Arquette’s lingering affection for each other still came across.

The estranged couple often looked at one another, smiled and shared a few quiet laughs during a short press conference Wednesday for Scream 4 at L.A.’s Mondrian Hotel.

When asked what was special about filming this movie, which opens April 15, both actors said it came down to family – even though theirs has been in major upheaval over the past year.

“There’s a real family feeling,” said Arquette, 39. “Especially with Courteney being married and having a kid [their 6-year-old daughter Coco], it just brings an honesty, and that is really my favorite part of acting.”

“It felt very natural,” added Cox, 46. “We have had 10 more years of experience of acting, so I was that much more confident. I am now a mom, and I am just different person, but it’s coming back with your family. You know each other, and you kind of just get right back into it and [are] better than you were last time.”

Cox even compared her onscreen relationship with Arquette – she plays Gail Weathers to his Dewey Riley – to their offscreen life.

“It is so funny that he is so earnest and she is so out to get ahead,” she says. “It is just a very odd pairing, and so are we. Well, we are not really, but we kind of are. I love playing Gail. She is probably the most fun to play when it comes to playing a real character.”

This has totally made my day! Courteney is covering the April edition of Harpers Bazaar and she looks absolutely stunning! I must admit though,the cover looks like it’s a red carpet photo! Lets hope this is the first of many cover shoots in the run up to the release of Scream 4…

Courteney Cox looks nothing flawless at 46 on the cover of the April issue of Harper’s Bazaar in which she opens up about dating, her fresh out of  rehab exhusband, David Arquette and their daughter Coco.

On Dating: “I have no desire right now, I’m not saying never; it just seems weird. I don’t even know how that would happen or how you meet people. I don’t like to go out. I’m not great at small talk … I don’t like to go to parties.”

On ex husband David Arquette: I still have strong feelings for David … I’m his biggest protector. I can’t help it. Most guys aren’t mature, are they? … If you know who David is, you know what his intentions are, how honest he is, and how big his heart is … You can’t really get mad at David because he’s not a malicious person.”

On their 6yr old daughter Coco: “She’s our No. 1 priority,” says Cox. “No matter what happens, she’ll be okay because she knows that she is completely safe, loved, and we’ll protect that more than anything in the world.”
