A New York Times fashion blogger outraged readers last week after alleging that Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox and Kate Hudson have “put on a little weight” at the Golden Globe awards. But while fans raised eyebrows at the bold criticism, one person who was less downright angry was Cox’s husband, David Arquette.

The actor voiced his disgust to Tarts at the opening of the “Pee Wee Herman Show” in Los Angeles Wednesday. “I don’t think that has anything to do with anything. Writing articles about people that put on weight is just wasting space for real news,” Arquette said. “And who really cares? I love round people, I love skinny people. I love people in general; we’ve got to get past labels and stop being so critical about everything. On the Internet, people find that place and think they can just speak their mind, but a lot of the time you see how mean people are. In general, we just need to be a kinder society.”

And as for the highly-anticipated “Scream 4,” while Arquette, wife Cox and co-star Neve Campbell have all signed on, director Wes Craven has not officially come on board.

“I’m so excited,” Arquette proclaimed. “I hope more than anything that Wes Craven does it. If he doesn’t it will break my heart, I have my fingers crossed.”

Courteney was back on set of Cougar Town yesterday in the rain,carrying an unbrella during her break. Does everyone remember the ridiculous ruports not so long ago about Courteney being a Diva on set?Well I think this proves what we all knew – that it wasnt true. Faded Youth Blog posted this small piece on their site

Courteney Cox proved she’s not diva as she carried her own umbrella while on set of Cougar Town in Culver City, CA this afternoon (January 20).

Unlike so many stars, the 45-year-old actress didn’t enlist the help of an umbrella holder while trying to stay dry, but instead helped out a crew member that was lacking cover.

Gives new meaning to Friends, n’est-ce pas?

Much like the a-listers in attendance at the 67th Annual  Golden Globe Awards, GlamChic had a hard time deciding which after parties to hit up so we decided to visit them all. We went from the InStyle/Warner Bros party to the Cartier sponsored NBC bash, then headed to the Weinstein Co. celebration and into the HBO festivities to find out all the dish. Here are 10 things we observed throughout the night:

2. David Arquette got jealous when his wife Courtney Cox danced with her Couger Town cast mates so he spent much of the night at the bar scouting for eligible female dance partners; Cox eventually retrieved him and took her tipsy hubby home.

After days of “will he or won’t he?” rumors, a new report claims that Robert Pattinson has finally signed on to make an appearance from London for Friday’s Hope for Haiti telethon.

According to E! News R-Pattz will be presenting via satellite from England, where Jay-Z and Bono are slated to perform for the George Clooney arranged project.

Taylor Swift,Alicia Keys, Christina Aguilera, Shakira and Bruce Springsteen will be performing live in the States during the two-hour benefit, which will air on all major television networks.

Other celebrities who are set to present or help in the phone banks are Jennifer Aniston, Jake Gyllenhaal, Brad Pitt, Anna Kendrick, Sandra Bullock, Zac Efron, Bradley Cooper, Renée Zellweger, Chris Pine, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Colin Farrell, Jon Hamm, Gabby Sidibe,Emily Blunt and many others.

It’s still not known if Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner will join their Twilight co-star Rob, but they’re definitely in demand, as their presence would have a huge impact on getting youth involved.

Also, Oprah Winfrey and Angelina Jolie are potential “helpers,” but have not been confirmed yet.

George Clooney will host from L.A., Wyclef John in NYC and CNN newsman Anderson Cooper in Haiti.
