In her new show actress Courteney Cox Arquette plays a 40-year-old, newly divorced mom who is back in the dating game. In preparation for the role, Cox Arquette got into incredible shape by exercising on the revolutionary Power Plate(R) machine.

“The Power Plate(R) machine has dramatically changed my workout. I know that every muscle in my body is being ignited in ways that you can’t do with traditional training. Its uses are limitless. I love this machine!” says Cox Arquette.

Power Plate(R) technology provides one of the most efficient and dynamic total-body workouts in less than 30 minutes utilizing scientifically-proven Advanced Vibration Technology(TM) that triggers involuntary muscle reactions 25-50 times per second while you exercise. “My clients, like Courteney Cox Arquette, prefer Power Plate(R) machines to tone, tighten and get red-carpet ready in less time,” says celebrity trainer Michelle Lovitt. “If your schedule doesn’t always allow time for traditional exercise, Power Plate(R) Acceleration Training(TM) is great because you get a full, targeted workout in as little as three 30-minute sessions a week, and still see amazing results.”

Warner TV will recreate the famous Central Perk coffee shop from hit sitcom Friends in London later this week.

The replica hangout will be based on London’s Broadwick Street, Soho, from September 24 to October 7.

“Relive the place where it all happened,” said a Warner TV spokesperson. “The bad jokes, the chat-up lines and the gossip.”

According to Event Magazine, the venue will include rare memorabilia from the show and will allow fans to “relive their favourite Friends moments enjoying a cappuccino on one of the famous sofas”.

Organised by Inca Productions, the event marks the 15th anniversary of the NBC comedy series, which ran for ten seasons until 2004. A new limited-edition box set featuring every series and new “extended, exclusive and unseen footage” is also being released for the occasion.

Friends launched the careers of David Schwimmer, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, Jennifer Aniston and Matthew Perry. The last episode aired on May 6, 2004 and was watched by an estimated 52.5 million viewers in the US.

Courteney Cox is back on TV in a brand-new comedy — and ET talks to the former “Friends” star about playing a cougar in the new ABC series, “Cougar Town”!

“A cougar is a lady in her 40s who is going out with younger men,” Courteney tells ET. “It is not the negative [a woman who has had too much] plastic surgery in her 50s. It is really a woman with confidence that does that.”

In “Cougar Town,” Courteney plays a 40-something woman trying to get on with her life following an ugly divorce. In the first episode, her character Jules hooks up with a guy not much older than her 17-year-old son.

She is also a producer on the series, so she gets to be in on the casting sessions when they are looking for the young guys to play her prey.

“I am so glad I am producing so I can be a part of the casting sessions because there might be a character that is on for three episodes and you want to make sure that it is someone you want to kiss,” she says. “You don’t want to be stuck with someone you don’t. It is sweet and cute and nice. It is good to have control over it.”

One of the first scenes in the premiere episode is Jules examining her body in the mirror and not being happy with what she sees.

“That scene is really what I look like when I am pushing on my stomach, pulling on my arm and shaking my leg,” Courteney says. “That is what I look like when I am not lit right. It is all about lighting. I gave you a glimpse of me with average lighting. I worked really hard to look that bad.”

“Cougar Town” premieres Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 9:30 p.m. on ABC.

His wife Courteney Cox, may be steaming up television screens with her new show Cougar Town but don’t expect David Arquette to make any guest appearances. He opens up to RadarOnline.com about why he missed the cut.

“They’re telling me I’m a little to old to be cougar bait now,” he joked. “It’s sad, but so true.”

Cougar Town, which premieres Wednesday on ABC, centers on dating after divorce. In real life, Cox and Arquette are avid believers in couples therapy as a way to keep the spark alive.

“Life to me is all about understanding what we’re doing here and making adjustments to your life that make the best of that,” he said. “It’s not always easy when one person’s stuck on one subject or thought or hurt. You have to learn how to make it work.”

On September 29, the couple will be teaming up with a long list of A-listers for the Rock a Little, Feed a Lot concert at Club Nokia in L.A., benefiting Feeding America. It’s one of the their favorite charities. Arquette, who was in a band called Ear 2000, says he’s not sure yet whether he’ll be participating in the concert.

“I’ve been practicing my trumpet but I’m pretty atrocious!” he said before laughing, “Can we not bring up me being in a band”

They’re making Scream 4. And if there’s one thing David Arquette wants you to know, it’s that he really wants Neve Campbell to reprise her role as Sidney Prescott. “I would love for her to come back, it’d be a bummer if she doesn’t,” Arquette told RadarOnline.com in an exclusive interview.

“But I also understand people’s decisions.” Filmmakers have insisted that Campbell will not return as the franchise’s main, and much tortured, character Sidney Prescott.

The film has special meaning for Arquette and his wife, Courteney Cox. The couple met and fell in love on the set of the first film, Scream.Cox has signed on for the fourth sequel as well as original screenwriter Kevin Williamson.“I haven’t seen a script yet but I know Kevin’s working on it as we speak,” Arquette told RadarOnline.com. “Hopefully we’ll start shooting in the
spring.”

Courteney Cox has been famous for 25 years.Bruce Springsteen’s “Dancing in the Dark” video, which caused “who’s-that-girl?” attention to be directed toward the blue-eyed, short-black-haired, T-shirt-and-jeans wearing Cox, made its MTV debut in July 1984.

At the time, the then-20-year-old Cox was working at a music agency in New York and doing some modeling. Her career after that — “Family Ties,” “Ace Ventura,” “Friends,” “Scream” — has made her a key part of several pivotal television shows and movies of the last quarter century.

Now she’s starring in ABC’s “Cougar Town,” making its debut Wednesday. The slightly off-color comedy is about a recently divorced 40-ish mom in Florida looking to date. Its tone is broad on subjects such as sex, aging and parenting, and Cox’s Jules is blunt and inappropriate — the show probably will divide critics and viewers from the title on down.

“I hope this show is a huge hit and that people love it,” Cox says. “Because I like playing this character more than any character I’ve ever played.” What? More than Monica?

Cox is so closely associated with the “Friends” role that her own personality seems to be that of a hyper-organized clean freak. But Cox is more complicated than that. She has a happy home life with husband David Arquette and their 5-year-old daughter, Coco. They host a phalanx of friends at small gatherings every Sunday night — yes, yes, Jennifer Aniston is one of them. And there is a production company, Coquette, that Cox and Arquette run together.

Bill Lawrence and Kevin Biegel, the co-creators of “Cougar Town,” spend a lot of time with Cox to channel her into Jules.Lawrence has known Cox since he wrote on Season 1 of “Friends” — although he’s not sure how much Cox remembers him from then.He wanted to work with her on a new show when he heard she would like to return to comedy after FX’s ill-fated “Dirt” was canceled last year.

“I always thought she was a talented and funny actress,” Lawrence said. “But also a cool chick. A cool broad.”

About the creation of the Jules character, Lawrence said: “I wanted her to be like Courteney. If you talk to Courteney when she’s off-guard, or when she’s being herself, she’s incredibly frank, she’s incredibly brassy. Very opinionated, very self-deprecating. But at heart she’s still a goofball. I don’t think she’s gotten to do that a lot.”
